Can a Texas landlord require tenants to repair built-in appliances that break during the lease?
We are taking a 1-year lease on a house in Houston. The house comes with refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, and ceiling fans. The lease apparently states that if any of these appliances breaks (not due to damage or mid-use) the tenants will be responsible for repairs. Does this sound normal for residential leases, or even legal?
